Your manager (secretly) might give you a heads up that you are on the list. To the OP, think about seeing a doctor about your frayed nerves, and go on disability.
@3tnl+1k6Ls5Az OK Safra, we know you suck at communicating but you don't need to take a dump on people who are already down. Ge-z.
Yessir, exactly. Oracle has NEVER told someone we are about to lay you off, so be ready. If you get the news, you get some kind of deadline - either a transfer to another group date or an end date.
I am sorry to say this board is becoming utter garbage.
Hmmm ... I have never heard of people being told they're being laid off without an end date, and often that end date is the day they are told they are being dejobbed.
You need to provide some context here, otherwise your post has no meaning. Don’t give away anything that would identify you as an individual, but some sort of indication of role or location will only add value for us concerning your dilemma
When life offers you coal, invent a process to make diamonds.
Which team and org?
Please answer, thank you.
Why not during the holidays? The problem is being laid off, the when is simply an inconvenience. One might argue that this is better because you can control your spending accordingly.
Oracle is absolutely ruthless! Doing layoffs just before the holidays, when many companies freeze hiring for end-of-year, is really gutter level. Larry is a disgrace.
On a Friday? Eeeeks Can you share what org and role type? :(
Who is surprised that LJE would kick people out to the street at a time like this
Which team and org?
You are better getting out early, with a chance to find a new role, before the tsunami of layoffs in January!
Good lick to you !! i was let go few weeks ago and was able to get 3 offers in these few weeks. Good luck with your next steps !!!
