Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

$25

Watch them cell phone bills close! They forcing COR reps to add that new $25 asurion insurance "entertainment" to consumers bills! To cover like tv, computers, tech support etc. Asurion is a joke to begin with , refurb phones, horrible customer care and more!

Just ask your manager by email the policy on insurance if they are giving you a a hard time have him tell you exactly what the expect and please respond by email as well as in person always do this in writing and if they tell you in person ask for an email than email them for follow up paper trail folks

“For me, employee discount is $1 a line cheaper than Spectrum and Cricket (AT&T) is $5 a line cheaper. I don' t know how you got that number unless you were not choosing unlimited data.”

You’re crazy, show me a T employee discount bill that has unlimited for $29.99 with no taxes or fees….you can’t. Go back to sleep.

If you are using T as a cell carrier, there’s something seriously wrong with you.

"Just left T with employee discounts for Spectrum Mobile ( Verizon). Saving a little over $100 per month on 5 lines…. "

Bad actors? If you reported them and T did something about it you would literally stop the entire company. Which means Stank wouldn't get paid. So that isn't happening.

“Guess someone didn't take their customer service and compliance training to heart.... I chuckle at all the bs mandatory ethical training we need to pass, when this sort of sh-t comes right from the top”

The “command” to do unethical practices is always verbal. The training serves as a way for AT&T to say “we told you not to do that” if they ever want to get rid of yo-you. It comes down to your word against your supervisor which holds 0 weight to the documented training you took that states otherwise.

Verizon and Sprint were fined for these practices as well -- over $150M several years ago. ATT isn't the only carrier with sales organizations who've gotten caught cheating customers.
Follow protocol to report the bad actors.

AT&T may not have invented slamming, cramming, and jamming, but they sure perfected it!

Why would any employee still be using AT&T for their cell phone service? That is d-mb if you are as there are many better alternatives that beat the employee discount

Report the practice to local investigative reporter at your local news station and FCC.

If corporate accounts looked at their bills in detail they could reduce them significantly. Access My Lan was added to basically every line, some customers would catch it and ask what it was…….crickets, oops, our error we’ll take that off and give you 2 months credit.

Has anyone ever called Asurion for tech support?

Me too! On my last five phones. Each time I told them four times that I refuse the insurance. Yet they still crammed and slammed me. Took 2-3 hours total on the phone trying to undo the damage. I'm convinced that the employees of at&t have no ethics, no moral compass. I have fixed their wagon, moved over to TMUS and love it.

“I have said I don’t want next or insurance on every phone I’ve bought and been slammed 4 times in a row. The last time the ins was $17 and he slammed next on me too. He assured me he didn’t put it on. I reported him but there is no box to check for an employee to be covered with this info. Or disciplined“

I have had this happen several times too. Nevermind discipline, it’s encouraged. I confronted an AM in the hall once about it. The answer was “well, we’re all under a lot of pressure to make our numbers. You know..,,”

Hefty fines and firings result from unscrupulous sales' tactics like that. No need for layoffs if reps are knowingly doing this.

Doesn't the FCC define that practice as a form of cramming? It's illegal and unethical.
