Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Is anyone else’s team like a revolving door of people?

My team can’t seem to retain or hire qualified people. We have a few long haulers but most are gone in 1-2 years. Couple that with constant re-orgs, organizational changes and technology changes, our team is a disaster….

It’s the Chase way and all their failed management are here.

I am in DMI and BG is a scripted goat for David Owens.

The scrum teams I'm on are constantly changing. Between voluntary moves or re-orgs, it's a revolving door with the key resources. Agile does not work when the teams keep changing. (Agile is fragile when there's any change.) The company wants Agile, but our management doesn't have the discipline to do their part to make it work.

We have a team in our group that has that problem. No one likes working with them and they have high turnover. The couple of long haulers there are toxic af but know their job and are liked by the director. They are also the ones who created the incredibly high turnover, talk bad about everyone behind their back and purposely sc--w up deployments. Leave that group, there are other teams under the same director who don't operate that way. You will be doing yourself a favor by leaving it.

People on our team hit the 1 year requirement & are applying elsewhere the next day.the job is good but it’s all about $$$ & advancement at this point. The average “long term job” is 2-3 years in the corporate world (not just wells).

The door seems to only allow exits

You must be in DMI or Risk. Good luck.

It's the people, management & hiring practices. If you hire quality, people are too busy & involved to create issues. I've never seen so many worthless, ruthless people at a major corporation as I have here. It seems like it gets all the rejects from other banks. The revolving door is the good people walking out as they are tired of carry thing the load, getting insulted by inexperienced, insecure middle managers (which 90% of them at WF are), unrealistic processes or just the general lack of direction of the company.

People tend to stay in our small, insular marketing group. And no wonder. It’s like free money, especially since WFH. People have skated for years.

No, it's not like this everywhere. Turnover at WF used to be pretty low. Then the NYC crowd took over and we've been swirling down the sh----r ever since.

It's like that every where most places are dysfunctional and a grind to work in.
