"Captain Ferris, there's an iceberg directly in our path".

SF: “I’ve engaged McKinsey again to research how other companies in our industry have dealt with icebergs in the past. This will enable us to shortlist some value-add choices and agree the best way forward in the interests of all shareholders and employees at this difficult time. Please bear with us and keep doing the excellent work you are doing and leave the iceberg to management. Please also look out for further updates on the iceberg in our regular monthly communications.”

I've worked too long to walk away from the severance package should my name be pulled out of the hat. So yeah, I'll stick it out and hope I make it to retirement age in about 5 years. I work my a-s off, not for FIS, but for my clients and so I can sleep at night knowing I've done right by my clients and my team. I work with a great team, so it makes all this insanity that SF has brought to FIS a little easier to handle.

@dc As a manager, we were told that next RIFs were scheduled for November/December 2024 and then March 2025 if not further. They were first targeting Directors and now Middle Managers as well.

@b9 I don’t follow. ‘More layoffs confirmed until march’?

@d1 I have been with the company for more than 25 years from college graduate to senior director. The level and strength of dysfunction happening now is far worse and more widespread that it has ever been in the past. This is different from previous shakeups and both the market and insiders agree.

Why worry or complain about things you have no control over? I have over 30 years at FIS non senior management, people come, people go, some on their own, some let go. This is how the real world works, FIS is not the only company that does this.
