I wonder if Verizon will have to pay $100,000 to the government for each H1B visa holder to work in the U.S. under the new executive order. How many employees do we have with H1B visa and what departments?

There are so many band 5 people in IT are in H1B and waiting for their GCs. When a RIF comes, they all are well protected but all citizens and green card holders will be eliminated. Fu-k all management and leadership.

No, they just outsource the rest of few remaining jobs for tech from US to India.
Not many as Verizon works through vendors. The employees of the vendors and contractors are locked in place. As for employees of Verizon, they are also locked in VZW. Will transfer to another employer trigger 100k? That is still being watched.
