FYI: was told we were all safe and bonuses might be impacted, but today was let go. Know of at least 10 others, all from COO's part of the organization.

@d2 What State and Market Segment were you?
@c3 I got the BCBS S*ide email today too. Gee, thanks...
For those wondering about criteria? Yesterday was various manager levels and I was in HQ Chicago office. I received a 4 in my review last year and a stellar mid-year.
My biggest regret, I didn't get to say good bye and thank you to some amazing people I worked with. They took devices and walked me out. I am most sad about that right now.
Let's all take a moment to appreciate the sucde prevention email that went out just before the rif began (insert the tallest of middle fingers)
@d2 which state and market segment?
@bz yup
Can we get office names or states at least? Would like to see trending.
I wonder if nurses will be getting laid off.
@cy our director said the same thing
@cy til Friday….. this is just mental torture now 😢
I’m with the Sales and account mgmt got let today too
It’s su-ks plus medical benefits until Oct 1
What departments have been impacted so far? I seen there is a job posting for a financial analyst so is this before or after layoff?
@cw I saw him prancing through the lobby today.
@cv Our director told us that it will continue through Friday. She did say that departments that were impacted today will not be impacted again. So, if your team wasn’t impacted, it might be tomorrow or Friday.
@cf I thought he LOVED being in the office to collaborate?
@cg and where is Bojangles Bow tie in all this?
@cs how does everyone know its going to continue for 2 more days? I wouldn't be surprised but wondering where that info came from.
@cf what a leader. Probably off schmoozing with his Chicago political pals.
This is going to continue until the end of the week so buckle up.
@cn no one knows - my manager and dvp had no clue who was hit. my dvp lost someone under him and had no idea.
@cn None of us is ever safe without a union. Thanks “at will” employment!
@bw last rif i heard they got rid of a bunch of engineers and tried to outsource most. ended up being a sh*t show. i heard they learned their lesson but who knows
Ok. If more tomorrow does that mean even if your dept was impacted today it could be tomorrow also? So no one is safe even if your manager was let go today, you could be tomorrow?
@bm i heard there will be more tomorrow... going to assume more friday as well
@ch Shiiit, I'd run away too! Almost looking forward to the next couple days... can we 'volunteer as tribute'? It appears the reward for working so hard and enduring the emergency whims of the moment is to promote to middle management. Just in time for another round of RIFs. Rewards Indeed!!!
Are most RIFs happening to longer tenured employees? Any trends or patterns here? I saw earlier posts saying it’s all divisions, all levels. Just looking for a common denominator I guess.
My thoughts are with everyone who lost their jobs today.
@cf either he is out too or he is an unconscionable coward. Gets paid $40m to be absent on the one day he is needed.
CEO FAILS! Needs to cut costs, but of course not his $30,000,000+ benefits, so what to do? CUT employees, destroy families, communities all affected by a CEO & greed from poor decisions that lead to this!!!
Shame on this CEO and right before year end bonuses! 🙏 I pray for the THOUSANDS you have affected forever that were INNOCENT in working hard and smart for a company ran well and now Disgracefully! Watch Grinch/Xmas vacation & count your money, because I can't see how you can count your blessings or sheep!!!
@c2 Maurice was OOO today? Hmmmmmmm
@c2 because they must not be done yet!
@a6 me too I’m sorry and wish you the best of luck
@a7 yes me
@bc I was let go today and never had below a 3 in my whole time. Just finished several highly successful projects with high visibility. No logic at all other than I guess make up for the loss! And handled so ungracefully too
@bg thank you much appreciated. Seriously
More to come tomorrow
@c5 I am sorry.
Sometimes what feels like a setback is actually a blessing in disguise. Your next opportunity may turn out to be even better.
@c2 Probably because they are not done. Imo
@c5 I’m so sorry!
I’m Director-level and was let go today. It is clear it is not performance-based.
@c2 what a coward
@c2
The lack of communication at HCSC is incredible.
Except I did get an email in my personal email today about su----e. Made me feel all warm and tingly like they really care about me [insert heavy sarcasm].
