Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

“Yet you complain and remain” … Really?

Imagine coming to this site and whining that people are “complaining.” This is literally a place for layoff news, venting, and sharing grievances. What did you expect to find here, a cheerleading squad?

If the culture was positive, if leadership was trusted, if people felt secure in their jobs, there wouldn’t be anything to post. No one wastes time on a site like this when things are good. The fact that this forum is busy says everything: people are frustrated, burned out, and constantly under the threat of layoffs.

So yeah, people are going to “complain.” It’s not complaining for the sake of it, it’s employees calling out dysfunction, broken leadership, and a toxic culture. If you can’t handle that, maybe this isn’t the site for you.

"Some people are always disgruntled."

Stanks email response to the survey and the underlying numbers show that is was a lot more than "some people". Many of the negatives were well over 50% of the respondents. But you keep dreamin'.

"Excellent stock price"

Stock price is where it was 14 years ago and we are getting 40% less in dividends. Wall Street is now beginning to say that ATT is a sell because Stankey does not know how to grow revenue, and they now see very little upside on the stock price. Many firms had a price around $30. Well, we are there now and some of the companies want to take the gains since the dividend is not great anymore. Until Stankey can really show he knows how to grow revenue, Wall Street will not stay behind him anymore.

Some people are always disgruntled. Life is just too unfair to them. Complaining is really all they have.

@a1 excellent stock price? AT&T is basically flat over the last 10 years… so spare us the Wall Street fairy tale while employees get crushed because “leadership” burns through tens of billions on epic failures

This forum is way too biased. Overall, company is doing great. Excellent stock price, Wall Street ratings, and an increase in spectrum. Just going through some much needed culture changes, and all the disgruntled employees whine.
