Frustration with the reorg silence

The pending reorg is draining the company. There’s no information and no transparency about what’s coming next. At the same time, leadership keeps asking for more and more work without providing org clarity. Do they realize how unreasonable it feels to demand so much while sharing so little?

@bp I describe it as hospital admins "disrupting" a hospital by reorging experienced neurosurgeons to pediatrics, and maybe orthopedics to OBGYN...you know, to really "shake things up". As in voluntarily give up intellectual and experiential capital, any specific expertise acquired over years of practice and interaction in one's specialty...etc...

Look to the "Big Boss era"...the fabulously freeing (for upper mgmt) era of not needing to care anymore about employees, who are after all just replaceable cogs in the machine (sarcasm) -- from AI, "The term 'big boss era' refers to a trend in the U.S. workplace, popularized in March 2025, where corporate leaders are regaining power and control over employees, characterized by stricter in-office mandates, less flexible work, and a shift away from worker empowerment. This 'boss era ' is driven by a softening labor market, a greater emphasis on management control, and the anticipation of more aggressive enforcement of "return-to-office" policies by executives."

Nike = ambiguity which has been true for the last 15 years I've worked there. Even post pending reorg you can expect ambiguity... Probably more so because everyone is going to be confused with new roles and new managers. Best thing to do is just take it one day at a time. The reorg is coming and you may regret the "clarity" it brings anyway so no point in worrying too much about it other than applying for jobs elsewhere if it's too much to handle under current pressure.
