So not that I wish it but I did contact NJ police unemployment office!!So they gave a ton of info ,but advised as a technician if we went on strike we would absolutely be able to collect the max weekly amount of $ 900 a week !!If they had management or contractors trying to fill our jobs as in the past we would not have a waiting period it would be immediate collect.So just planning on getting things in order paying some stuff saving some money along with preparing for the worst hoping for the best !One things for sure it is a big relief now that we finally have the right in nj to collect when on strike

Good for you. Hopefully you will think about your brothers and sisters who work in areas where there is no unemployment for them. When your living it up while we are struggling to feed our families. Don’t think about voting against a contract just so you can enjoy more time off with unemployment.
So while confuse by this I did look into this!!It would seem we can collect.Lets hope it does not come down to this.Very interesting I wonder if New York or any other states can also collect while on strike??The only variable would be if they cut the insurance again !So hopefully it’s played out right where if we do go out we go out the beginning of the month not the end.I believe that the insurance continues till the end of the month canceled!
Here in Keansburg I can live it big on nine 'hundert a week. Can even pays my $280 pot rent fee. Voting to strike, FOREVER
