Lugged my 10 pound bag filled with my laptop, headset, snacks and lunch, water bottle, and office shoes since leadership decided we no longer deserve assigned cubes and we can’t leave any items at the office.
Saw 6 people today on my floor (a record!). We literally all sat in separate cube rows farthest from the entrance because none of us know each other or really care to.
Unfortunately I sat next to a cougher today and someone heated up some sort of fishy concoction for lunch today…
People started leaving after lunch and floor was empty by 3 pm, so I left too. Fortunately there is no badge out in my building so everyone just clocks in, get what they need done, and leaves as soon as they can. I’ve decided that the 2+ hours I spend commuting will be counted toward how many hours I work.
Walk to the car was not very pleasant because there aren’t many commuters coming in anymore and the area feels a little sketchy.
An hour later made it back home in one piece exhausted from the commute and questioning the logic of RTO and why I wasted 2 hours of my day on this and preparing myself to do it all over again…
