Is anyone’s office actually bustling? Mine’s empty. I hardly ever see anyone come in. A few do but it’s definitely not three days a week. Office is empty after 2 pm. More people used to come but it’s died down. I kind of assumed everyone’s org was like that but maybe not.

Definitely something up look into. Dealing with these exec's BS is anxiety inducing for sure and there's no benefit to the business of going in, so a denial on an accomodation would be problematic and could always be rebutted by saying "yeah, but you did it for two years so..."
Many workers I know are getting Dr's notes stating there is anxiety going back into the office and then get to stay at home
COO is a rein of te---r when it comes to RTO compliance. They are naive and didn’t count thanksgiving as an in office day.
There are always some bootlickers that carry Charlie's water when it comes to RTO, but they don't get that Charlie sees them as less than ants.
Compliance is trending down, not up. FRTO and FNYC.
Apparently PTO or a holiday counts as an in office day, and it's monitored as average over time. So I think it's a really inflated metric, as everyone had an in office day for Thanksgiving, taking a week of PTO would presumably give you a 5 days in office week to add to your average, etc. From what I've heard, if you swipe in at all and connect to a Wells network for any period of time from an office location, it counts as a day in office. So of course everyone leaves early and finishes the day at home. I did hear that it was going to be at least 6 hours connected to an in office Wells network but I don't think that actually happened.
There are two things that I think are causing all of the posts.
- In certain executive town hall calls, they have talked about the expectation in 2023 is to be office-based. In one of them, we were told that means 3 days in office, and she is "excited" we get 2 days at home. Managers were allowed to use RTO compliance for performance reviews, but a lot of managers don't agree with it either. Charlie seems to be ousting executives who don't agree with him, so we will see how it plays out.
- Operations people returned to the office in September, and quickly realized office life isn't that great. There was hope that over time, RTO requirements would ease, and there would be changes. Since Charlie isn't easing up, those people are also unhappy.
No one respects RTO, and never will. It might make sense for smaller companies, but when you're spread all over the country like we are at Wells, RTO becomes maddeningly ridiculous.
