Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

At least we're in this together

It never stops being exhausting to hear the same complaints repeated endlessly. People vent, post, and talk about the same problems day after day, but nothing ever changes. It’s frustrating, yet at the same time, there’s a strange comfort in knowing you’re not the only one feeling stuck.

Our CEO made it clear in his address today that this is now officially a dog, eat dog organization. It is always been that way in the past, but now he is not hiding it anymore. By saying it’s not about loyalty, but rather commit commitment, he is defining market based culture has cutthroat both internally and in the market. He was very clear. His most important stakeholder group are investors. Customers and employees be damned.

People complain because they care. Some people are just miserable yes, but I feel as though many on this board post because they care and they feel powerless to make a change. Maybe just maybe, posting here lets them be heard.
