Wave 4 Enhanced monitoring in effect

Enhanced monitoring/blocking for Wave 4 of Technology's Location Strategy is in place. All impacted employees will be blocked from:

  • Sending external emails.
  • Uploading content to the web.
  • Printing at the office.
  • Printing remotely.
  • Using removable media (USB/CD) on their work computer.

Tech managers can request exceptions if needed. If you're not sure if you're impacted by Technology's Wave 4, try doing one of those things.

I can still print, I can't send out external - need to get an exception. I can upload attachment internally.

you can setup home access to workday which is quite easily and allows you to download your W2 or paystubs to your personal device.

@ay can you describe the process you went through and at what point you received your relo offer?

Printing in the office is the only permission that’s virtually universally enabled. I’m normally blocked from every other item

Is this correct? Effective August 1st (Q3), any Technology team member can send an external email test to see if they are blocked, and if true they'll know that they are getting laid off some time between October and December (Q4)?

If you are in Tech did you send a test message yesterday? And were you blocked?

yes this is absolutely true. I was in a previous wave (which I chose to relocate), and my access for example to copilot was removed during this process.

I was just about the same thing - those have been the rules in WIM for years. Is this specifically for tech now that had extra access maybe?

All, BS, most of those are already in place. USB drives were outlawed over 10 years ago. You e never been able to print remotely unless you have an exception and a WF printer.
