Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

AT&T's fiber future

I think Stanley's plan for our fiber future is commendable. He is laying low, waiting for small and mid size companies to complete their fiber installs. Then he will swoop in and buy them up, same process they used for wireless. Genius, I knew he had a plan, now we know.

What a great plan!

Wait until the bigger players like Frontier, Spectrum, T-Mobile, and Verizon grab up 90% of the market share before Stink descends with a service that's more expensive and less reliable.

What could go wrong?

Hiring more Term employees to support the fiber build. They are under contract to ensure their service will not exceed 3 years. That’s about when the fiber build will be done. Pivoting away for using union labor.

Stink has no plan other than to convert T money into Stink money while doing it on the backs of a reduced workforce.
VZ plowed in FO about 20+ years ago and I remember the powers in charge complaining that FO was cost prohibitive. Well, now with Inflation in Joe Biden's Amerika - FO cable, terminals and labor are 5x's more expensive even if equipment can be found and transport is virtually non existant.
This id--t has no plan.
