A few Napkin Calculations

I’ve been thinking about this topic for a while and want to check my assumptions:

4000 people in this Berkeley Heights building, divided by 8 building sections (1-4 E and W)
= 500 people on each side of each floor, and let’s say 60% are men so 300 men

Stay with me here
60 mins * 8 =480 minutes
480 * 5 men’s bathroom stalls on a given side of a floor (E or W) = 2400 total stall minutes in the work day per building section

Let’s assume everyone needs 6 minutes per day in a stall
300* 6 =1,800
Then let’s assume everyone takes another trip for any reason, most commonly to waste time or exhale

1800* 2= 3,600 total men’s stall minutes needed per section

Yet only 2400 stall minutes per section in a workday

A shortage of 1200 stall minutes for each section

And berkeley heights is pretty good with bathrooms, Alpharetta these numbers would be ever more jarring.

Are my assumptions accurate? Has anyone else thought about this while waiting in line?

The hunt for an open sh----r is in fact real. It gets real busy after lunch.

honestly ..... this is probably the best/most relevant thread on here.... i've thought this many times while almost $hiting my pants waiting for a stall to open up because the most peace you get all day is withing those bathroom stalls......

The increased number of flushes will increase Fiserv's water expenses. Can we get Sapience to track the number of flushes so we can get rid of the most expensive employees?

@ab+1jt90v3jm so Zoloft should be given to everyone to help with work related issues and it'll speed up bathroom times so these numbers will work. Win-win.

I flush often because I’m blowing it out my a-s. You can thank Zoloft because Fiserv started giving me massive depression and anxiety.

The only thing I want is to ban people on teams meeting in the restrooms. There are guys discussing with people while sitting on the throne. And there are people flushing every 30
Seconds. Even if it’s their spouse, no one wants you on the phone while you are taking care of your business
