Wells Fargo has been a great employer to me. I know what most of the other companies offer, and it doesn't stack up to what Wells offers.
So many of you have created a religion of hating Wells Fargo while doing nothing to improve your situation. "Senior Lead Complainers" sounds fitting.
You can't actively hate your job everyday, and not have that affect your overall emotional and mental health. No one compartmentalizes that well.

Relax… the job is tolerable and most of us can do ours in our sleep. It’s the RTO that impedes on our work life balance after readjusting our entire lives to just go right back to this failing slave-matrix model.

Let’s just say that you apply and accept a position. Then, sometime afterwards, the company realigns you to a new supervisor who slowly phases you out of your former duties. Your former team is reassembled with new teams reinventing your old duties.
You have to ask yourself, what just happened? Answer: You’re being quietly fired. Okay then. Two can play that game. I’m now quietly quitting, WFH and too far from the nearest office.
Knowing that I’ve been here a long time, I aim to collect a fat severance. What I’m not going to do is reapply for my old position or quit without some kind of compensation.
We’re not pawns, but your greatest asset. Shame on you WF. I didn’t join WF just to be shuffled around. Lay me off or fire me. End of story. In the meantime, thanks for the free money…
I tend to agree with the OP. while wf isn't perfect, you can find a lot of the same issues with any other company large or small and while I could probably make more money elsewhere even with RTO I have a pretty good life balance. In the past when I have been in a group or had a manager I didn't care for I changed roles. you have to learn to advocate for yourself, you can't expect the company to do it for you.
I already started noticing it at the local branches. RTO is not very popular. In the middle of the week, not even lunch hour, only one teller servicing a line of customers. Unbelievable. I know for a fact that the branch manager was hiding in the back room. Better start showing up early…
I loved my job, until some useless NYC hacks ruined it with "RTO". This place won't be a good place to work until that's eliminated.
Just wait and see what is in store for you. One of the best things was getting laid off, collecting 6 months of severance pay while also collecting pay from the new job at a much higher salary. Raking in the bucks, finally, since the layoff. New Manager of IT technology at the new job is actually really technical. Former Wells Fargo manager was NOT technical at all and only had a High School diploma. Just the facts. Wells Fargo job demanded, at times, working all weekend then going back to work on Monday, as usual. Too much overtime. Former Manager insisted working until 10 PM after a long day at work, a number of times. Feeling better now actually. I would have stayed as a loyal Wells Fargo employee but they laid me off after all of my hard and dedicated work there for almost a decade. Truth be said.

Yes. You’re right. WF has been good to me, too. I’ve learned how to play the system and get paid for hardly ever working.
Also, It’s not the same company when I first started. I’m too old to care anymore.

You may enjoy your job today, find it fulfilling even, then one day Wells will decide you have a different job. I guess that hasn’t happened to you…. Yet
