Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

May 29th - A day that will live in infamy

Charlie and his gang of thugs have set April 29th as the date to inflict the biggest most massive one day layoff yet. In one fell swoop they will eliminate 15% of the domestic workforce in a surprise layoff that will awe the domestic workforce into absolute submission.

Then before the shock of the displacement blitzkrieg wares off they will gleefully announce Employee Appreciation week. A week of celebrations where they will hand out free lollipops and popsicle sticks to all the worker bees. Cowering in your cubicle you will appreciatively lick and su-k on them as a crude metaphor for doing the needful per management request.

As a Wells Fargo domestic worker the jokes on you. You are nothing but an overpaid lazy fat unproductive entitled complainer who in the eyes of the deca and centimillionaires at the top of this la cosa nostra organization need to be replaced with more compliant and less costly coolies abroad.

I believe consultants decide who gets an offer to relocate. Some are due to criticality, but not many. IMO, most are selected specifically because the company knows the offer won't be accepted. They want the PR benefits of offering relocation, but with the absolute lowest number of actual relos. Consultants have the info, and know how to steer such offers based on employee data to minimize acceptance. The overall goal is elimination of the domestic work force. Relo doesn't help the company achieve that objective.

Don’t worry boys and girls Truist awaits you with open arms and above market offers. You can then work for the same bosses you had at Wells. It will be like you never left!

@h8+1jspedr3n For those who received relocation offers, has anyone been able to identify a pattern for who gets them and who doesn't? Factors like Line of Business (LOB), remote work status, physical location, or whether the role is being offshored seem relevant -- but not conclusive. It feels like some managers, facing their own Damocles' sword hanging over them, are being forced to sacrifice their teams – their own versions of Sisyphus endlessly pushing uphill – on some unseen altar. This constant, futile cycle of uncertainty has become the Wells way... This isn't a career -- it is a survivor game.

I just got an impromptu meeting invite for Tuesday morning with my manager. So I canceled a change I had scheduled for Monday night. Don't want to be sleepy for that meeting.

Golden Ticket time for me!!!

Layoffs are programmed for every other Tuesday. The target is 500 - 600 employees each time.

I don't buy it. They haven't shown the ability to prepare that many packages for the layoffs. As far as I've heard there's a ball park number they do in every wave of layoffs.
