It is awfully quiet out there. LOBs not allowed to expand their teams in 2023, heavy scrutiny on calibrations this week, managers awaiting financial allocations in November with all the speculation of a tight budget season, and employees reluctant to leave or move jobs due to the 401K match and bonus coming up. I expect 2023 to see heavier attrition than 2022.
How long are we going to sit around with short-term patches to broken processes, procedures, and systems. This has gone on long enough. I just see empire building taking shape with pain to the employee. The millions the execs make is not enough, they want to be heroes of the community and forcing virtue signaling down our throats via multiple channels like pre-planned Q&A’s and and stale Teamworks articles like “Around the curry pot.” How profane!
There have been some bad leadership hires in the past two years and we still some polarizing entrenched leaders who will not leave. We need to look at strategy fast and force change NOW. I do not see the current playbook working.
