Not scared at all. I am in a volatile LOB too, and still remote. I would think if anyone should be scared, it should be me.

However, Chase, although not good at rewarding individual contribution with compensation, does tend to hold on to their top performers. probably because they can keep them (me) and not pay an increased rate. 4 years with Strong across the scorecard without any compensation adjustment. (Yes, I am the fool for staying).

My point being, even when roles are terminated, they often find a way to keep the top performers even if in a different capacity. This happened to me during my career and my position was terminated, but a lateral move was offered.

I can't be mad at the business making changes to become more efficient, if I was the owner/CEO I would do the same. If you twiddle your thumbs during the day or don't have stellar scorecard history... then you might be more concerned, but it also depends on the department. a large populous of individuals that use this site appear to be in Tech as there is constant complaints about foreigners and blah blah blah. it seems like they have seen some pretty heavy turnover. (Which, heck if they have anything to do with the Chase Homepage formatting and functionality, they should all be fired. worst homepage ever and it changes every 1-2 years). Other departments probably are just seeing an annual pruning of low hanging fruit to make room for new potential.
