At some level it’s all about providing metrics for FB. Metrics is not work.
@ybv+1jmHanZS If they are not participating in the team's work definitely. But many Director's do a lot of managing the work. Its the VPs that seem superfluous
@oss+1jmHanZS - Agree! many of the directors (including sr) are (or where) doing the bidding of these VP and SVP's anyway. Give now all the direction comes from Manhattan just cut out the middle man!
I’m not sure if you are including VP and SVP as “middle managers”, but that’s where the REAL fat is. Most of them are absolutely useless.
