Has anyone else noticed all the internal inter-office mail that's been piling up? It's because so few people are coming into the office, and when they do they often don't check for mail.
Some mailrooms are drowning in so much mail that they don't have anyplace to put it all. It's starting to "get visibility".
Just thought that was funny.
Yep, had nothing to do with RTO. Had to do with when we were all at home. People were no coming to the office to review it or even had a mail hold. There's an open issue for it. The reason for the message on TW - start handling it.
I personally think it was an issue long before the pandemic.

In the office I was at the boxes were stacked 6-8 feet high and the envelopes were just a total sliding pile of mess! Somehow the mailroom got my name for our CIO group and was sending me template emails from a group mailbox that seemed to be an attempt to be a mail contact on site. Sorry, hard pass, I am busy enough.
Maybe they should have thought about what would happen to the mail when they let go of the 1, maybe 2 people for each site they had running things pretty smoothly.
The mail piling up has nothing to do with RTO. What do you think happened to mail when people moved to workimg.from home for 2 years .
Probably why they sent out an email and communication to clean that cr-p up

To be honest, It used to pile up in my department long before the pandemic....
I haven’t checked my mail in nearly half a decade. The only mail that’s worth getting, is the mail that’s being direct deposited in my bank account.
