Just finished the interview with hiring manager, asked about starting date for this position, he said June. Why do they need to post job few weeks ago for the job not start until next June? Am I dreaming?

They do that to allow you to give your current employer 8 months notice.
Also, there's a political party that really seems to embrace chaos and misery. I won't say which one though...

Lastly, RTO is still a huge waste of time and resources. It hasn't gotten easier, and it doesn't feel normal, even after six months.

Are you sure JB didn't conduct the interview? Because if so, then June makes sense, especially June 2019 or 1819.
June? WTF? Given near end of year I could see a stretch of Jan. But who the f**k interviews and decides to bring you on in like 8 months? They could just eliminate the position.
The guy must have forgotten what month or maybe even year it is. There is no may they'll be able to hire someone now for a June 2023 start date. Nobody is waiting for that unless they are college grads.
