Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Employees win the battle but not the war

Although no major layoffs from last week which was the sure fire week, that good won't last long. I agree with those who believe that King Charles is taking the self inflicted wounds of war as the strategy. Why layoff when Wells can instead mandate 3, 4 or 5 days per week, verified, in the office, thus making those who oppose this to self-terminate (quit). When we quit, Wells cuts costs of both salary and possible severance. A huge Post Covid feather in Chuckie's cap. Then with those good numbers, he easily gets to stay on for another year.

some of us know things, but sharing specifics even on an 'anonymous' board would make us more identifiable.

There are layoffs every month. they pause in december and january, and pick up again in feb.

It's sausage cranking thru the machine.

This is an anonymous board, if they had information they could share it. My guess it they don’t know anything

Blink once (-) if people are getting laid off next Thursday.
Blink twice (-) (-) if people are getting fired next Thursday.
Blink three times (-) (-) (-) if both are true for next Thursday.

Oh....99 ?

Most of the budgets are set for next year and raises/bonuses are being worked on now within those budgets. The layoffs will resume when upper management starts eyeing 2024. If it is like recent history. They will start back up in Q2 2023.

You won't see major layoffs the rest of the year barring some Lehman like collapse in the next couple months.

It is bad publicity in general and why layoff when they'd still have to pay into the 401k when they can do the layoffs sooner and not?

They will resume next year.

It takes about a year to be removed via performance management. Play the game right and a PIP can last significantly longer than severance.

Make them pay handsomely for being cheap.
