Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Leadership is non existent at present

It's like death row for employees and upcoming results. My entire organization and those we deal with it have this on life support vibe. Everyone seems apathetic as the stupidity and lack of leadership has beaten everyone into a catatonic state of not giving a rip.

This dumpster fire of a company has the shittiest leadership at ALL levels. From level 2's on up the food chain. It's got over $130 billion in debt and sinking fast. Wall street hates the leadership, customers hate T and want to switch, investors hate T, employees hate T but try to hang on a few more years.... Promotions are non-existent except for a few select pets, no chances for lateral moves.... What good comes from T?
How are they making people's lives better? Products are average, customer services is pi-s poor, prices are too high for what you get. Where's the value?

How many times have you whined about leadership this week? Satisfied yet?

The truth is that leadership below the C Suite are typically in the dark about much of what’s about to happen with T. That is certainly by design, as any leak of legitimate changes would jeopardize shareholders etc. , this is why most senior executives sign an NDA. So, it’s not necessarily that leadership is non existent..they simply don’t know what to do. The company is making decisions by throwing darts, not good for anyone. The best advise is to sharpen your skills, keep fresh with technology, market yourself outside of T and be prepared to move on either proactively or reactively. This is not a company to retire from but a good one to garner some experience.

I couldn’t have said it better. Leadership has no idea what to do. Everyone level 3 and up are silent. Teams are downtrodden and lost.

I complained about the leadership but it doesn't seem to do anything. Should I start another topic about the leadership?

Stankey and Stephenson have thoroughly wrecked at&t. Why these two id--t losers haven't been kicked to the curb is beyond me. The only reason this company is still in business is due to the amount of equity built up over the past 150 years. T has, at best, about five years left before declaring bankruptcy.

On a call today and it was hilarious to how many people talked about our leadership not knowing what was going on and had no clue what to do.

Nobody expects anything good to come from the Stankey/Stephenson era. Everyone is just biding their time until these two exit at&t. Nobody likes them, nobody has any respect for them. They are nothing more than two parasites feasting on the carcus of at&t.

Leadership is figuring out their ejection seat from this dumpster fire. A monkey could have run ATT and shareholders would be $150 Billion better off than Randal and Stanley. Yes a monkey, dog, duck, cat, a toad.

I was at that point a year ago but started exercising daily as I still WFH. Lost the COVID 20 pounds plus another 15 and am feeling fit and the outlook is good. I put in at most a couple hours a day for ATT in order to get it done and years ago would have thought I was stealing. Not anymore as I am 100% on board with this is a Leadership and Culture issue straight from the top. I am certain 95 plus percent of employees would vote Stanley and the Board out today if they could.
