Even with a mediocre severance, I'd be happy to accept it.

I would love to be laid off. Been here almost 20 years. two weeks pay for every year here is a $30,000 payday for me
I agree with you. my high tenure the layoff package will be good and no she was not being insensitive. most people hate this sh-t ho-e. they just rather leave on their own terms
I feel relieved to be moving on.
I'm sure some of the people who were cut would be more than happy to trade with you. Talk about an insensitive post.
