It seems unusual to have pay posted a day before actual payday.....anyone else wondering what's up?

I don't bank with my employer but my cu shows pending on thur and hits early Friday morning. They are rolling out early direct deposit payroll by state/date and not just for WF. Look in teamworks for details
I dont have a wells account and have always been paid on wednesdays through my bank. Just like wells to be behind the times by many years lol
I have this feature in Discover
If you don't have your paycheck going into a Wells Fargo account, you don't get the early deposit.
I personally would never have a Wells Fargo account as I don't like my employer having access to my financial records.
if you are financially hard up with getting paid on Friday I don't see how getting it on Wednesday will help. ultimately the two weeks you are getting paid for is a week in arrears so it isn't like they are paying you for days you haven't yet worked. Since they are generating paystubs on Wednesday anyway for the prior two weeks easy enough to just make the deposit if a key to do so.
This is ironic since years ago employees could use the "payday advance" feature. Then the bank took it away because they didn't like the optics of their own employees being paid so little they needed payday advances.
So people need their paychecks 2 days earlier? Won’t this mean that that will then need their paychecks 2 days earlier than the 2 days earlier? This will just be a vicious cycle. How will this help anyone in the long run? It is like setting your clock 5 minutes ahead.
Just checked my account. I guess I didn’t make it to the early pay list. Lol
@gmr+1jb05RbP thank you for this info....been on PTO and completely disconnected. surprised mgr didn't have it as an agenda item for meeting :)

"With Early Pay Day, many customers will get..."
Early access to direct deposit for WF customers, being rolled out in waves, state by state. Other big banks are doing this too.
There was an article in TeamWorks ( under Trending on TeamWorks dated 9/12/22) that this was going to happen where they deposit your pay 2 days before the actual payday.
The date will vary depending on where you are located
There is information about early payday access on Teamworks. It's been rolled out to certain states already and more to come through the end of the year.
Mine did for one account only, which is my WF account.
Uhh…mine has not posted
