Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

UVerse TV

Does anyone know when my UVerse TV will go away. I want to plan ahead before AT&T gets out of this business.

It’ll be around till at least 2025 and maybe longer. I’m not speculating, that’s the plan.

That platform is on life support, slow death with no money being invested for enhancements or maintenance.

I thought the reason to ki-l uverse was that dtv/dtvstream was more profitable. I believe DTV had negotiated better rates for channels than ATT

I would imagine, DTV must really want to get off the U-verse platform. Can't imagine how much $$ DTV must be paying in rent for all that CO space across the country

Depends on the market, but could be around through 2026.

Buy your TV from Comcast or Spectrum
Buy your Internet from same
Buy your Mobility from MVNO's

This is why T will ultimately go bye bye....

You Tube TV is best value if moving from Uverse or Directv.

Well it’s a dead platform. No investment in it is being made in it, just keeping it going doing the bare minimum maintenance. Equipment and technology is getting outdated. No 4K potential. No development of new features. It’s not even being sold anymore, they want to shut it down as soon as possible. DIRECTV stream is a better option if you have good internet service.

Does Sling offer all the channels I like to get in one package. I do not want multiple TV bills.
