Thread regarding Verizon Wireless layoffs

Your income when down significantly

Reminder that your STI will be less than half of the target, the RSI tanked due to stock going down by 33%, Verizon increased your bill with surcharges and they're not giving anyone a wage increase, even though inflation is out of control.

Make sure to work harder for Hans and the rest of "leadership" who are making hundreds of thousands, if not millions of dollars a year off of your suffering.

It's 1.3 percent and it definitely shook some sh-t up. Corporate is terrified of unionization and will come in pretending to be your best friend and bug you while you form it. Hans and all leadership failed! They overpay everyone above us reps but screwed us to the point of living paycheck check to paycheck. If you want change you have to take action.

Actually it's around 1 or 2 percent, not a union person myself, but if they could come in and shake some sh-t up and stop the sh-t show we're all watching I'm in!! I'm betting I'd get more than a 1 percent raise every year too! ( Which is what I and my coworkers have gotten each year for the last few years, all performing no less..)

Dang I was ready for a cacophony of “We need to unionize” bullsh-t responses. As if the union would do anything besides siphon away 5% of your paycheck and then waste time collectively bargaining nothing lol.

@ruv+1jMZj4eF- being taken advantage of has nothing to do with having a budget or being an adult. You must like the abuse. You sound like you suffer from Stockholm Syndrome. Guess it makes sense when your abuser is from Sweden.

I GoTz a buDHgEt!!!! it's harder to budget when every year I make less money, sell more, and take on the jobs of other people, while the company continues to rake in billions every quarter. Hans and his pals have created a giant mess and now there's no way to get out of it, were running out of things to cut, except maybe........upper management!!!!!

I'm on the Dave Ramsey plan as well, but I'm not stupid to think it's ok that Verizon is taking advantage of everyone. Also your RSUs do get cashed out to your personal investment account each year, which you do not get the benefits to write off the losses while Verizon can. If you decided to reinvest back into Verizon you're taking an opportunity loss big time, as opposed to investing in a mutual fund that matches the market. My advice is for you to hire a financial advisor since you sound bad with finances.

Having a budget and spending less than you make is nothing to be proud of, when anyone can do that despite their income. It's knowing that a company is taking advantage of all of their employees, making them do a crazy amount of work, talking about mental health all the time, but doesn't pay a matching wage for what we do. Instead of increasing wages during a huge inflation period, they increase work load, and increased prices on their customers. Pad their own financial numbers instead of showing any respect towards the people who work here.

Sounds like you're an adult that enjoys to get taken advantage of though. You do you, OP isn't wrong.
