Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Upper Management is not happy with the craft rate of attrition.

They are contractually squeezed with the layoff caps. Something’s got to give and an enhanced offer will soon be in play for CWA represented Communication Technicians and Network Technical Specialists.

HAHAHA

No. It won't.

It won't because everyone and their brother who is anywhere close to thirty years of service ( or more ) would take the offer and run. They would lose an enormous amount of people even if they just limited it to those with 25 years or more.

How can you possibly believe such nonsense when T has a shortage of technicians in various out of region areas of the country because of the work demands! The west and southwest have more work than technicians and T is trying to keep as much work in-house as possible! So, as usual, I'm not sure of the validity of this post!

OP is on the money. Management has gone silent because change is coming. An offer to represented technicians in 2023 will get the ball rolling.

Agreed. Somethings got to give. There's been talk about a buyout offer in the Midwest.

Same poster keeps posting the same nonsense every couple of days. There will be no offers.

Stop with the nonsense. Not funny, clever, or witty.
