Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Does anyone actually care anymore?

Do you care about a new building in BH?
Do you care about "The Park"?
Do you care about your job enough to stay past hours and come in 5 days a week?
I certainly don't. Everyone is stretched so thin. The only remaining leaders are the sneaky ones. The only remaining talent are the stupid ones because they're too old or afraid to leave (im the former).
Clients are not happy.
Employees are not happy.
Managers are not happy.
We lost a HUGE opportunity contract.
People are tired of hearing lies. From things as simple as a "world class dining experience" to "there's opportunity for growth here".
No one is getting a decent raise for all of the hard work and turmoil this place puts us through. Watching our friends and colleagues be treated like sc-m after years and years of hard work, late nights and dedication.
This place just makes you feel sick. Mentally and physically.
So glad there is a community here that is not afraid to speak their minds. It gives a little breath of fresh air while I wait to get laid off or retire.

So many Fiserv employees who tried to fix the broken parts are now working at other companies making them better. Fiserv has no interest in fixing anything that is broken.

You seem very entitled. Maybe best thing is for you to go and see that in a new company people aren't waiting on you. There are thousands of employees who love working at Fiserv, I am sorry you aren't one but it sure isn't because of the reasons you mentioned that one throws in the towel. Are you running from something or going to something. Most of those who ran found themselves very disappointed with the outcome. If you don't like something why not stay and try and make it better?

Employees, in general, don't want to switch jobs. Sure, there are some type-A folks who will jump all over the place, chasing the latest shiny thing, but the lion's share do not want to do that. That's why they'll endure a lot of discomfort in their current situation before looking elsewhere. All employers have to do is not make their employees overly-miserable. That's it.

I think people stay because they are conditioned to it. It's like an abusive relationship, they did not kick us in the gut in the first week, fiserv slow wore us down and we thought this is normal. I final decided that waiting on my severance packages was not worth it. It was time to move on. But it took a lot to get here. That doesn't make me stupid...just stubborn..

If there was only some way employees could bargain or have a seat at the table.

I left on my own when I quit caring. The company obviously didn't care about me. Why should I care about it. Not once in my 15 years did anything good or great come from the company. Oh I got the occasional shirt or logo'ed item. All I saw was the company getting cheaper, and benefits getting worse. Not once in 15 years did the benefits improve. Oh wait I forgot they gave us free weight watchers one year, well that didn't last. The company doesn't care about the employees, they haven't in a long time. Now it seems like they don't care about the clients either. Wait for the major outage in Johns Creek to occur and no one knows how to fix it. Just a matter of time. P.S. I did have some direct managers that I really liked and respected, this post is directed to the c-level.
