Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

WFH has its advantages

When I first began with his company, I was working in the office. Of course, things have changed, and I Realized that I didn’t even recognize this company, anymore. Everyone I enjoyed working with, kind of moved on. I became less interested in meeting new people, so I guess I began WFH. What I do know, it has improved my life, considerably. As I said, previously, the company changed. Fewer tasks/projects were coming my way. Then, all of a sudden, I realized, why am I just sitting staring at the monitor in the room all by myself?
I booked a trip and took my laptop with me. I began to realize that I can have meetings and perform infrequent tasks, all from airport lounges, hotel rooms, and Starbucks.
Now I just spend my days traveling. Seeing the world. I make sure I schedule my meetings inbetween flights.
Time goes by faster. Before I know it, the biweekly paychecks have already hit my account. Of course, I still get my work done.
Here’s what I learned. Life is worth living. Don’t get stuck RTO.

Ignorance is tough. I feel sorry for those who can’t think outside the box. Also, If you can’t think past the the nose on your face, then continue counting your pennies while the rest of us enjoy life. Carpe diem.
Do you really want to continue slaving away in front of monitor, being a desk jockey in a cube farm? I don’t. That’s why I continue to work the system. Who says you can’t have a cake and eat it too?

Traveling is that I'm trying to avoid via WFH. Tired of wasting gas and money and time for absolutely zero benefit. "Because they say so" is a reason for doing it, but it's a cr-p reason and if I ever dared to use it in one of my proposals the same clown executives would shoot it down in 10 seconds. "Not a valid business justification" they'd say. Yeah, well, neither is yours.

For those of you who are not techie. You can configure the VPN settings in your Wi-Fi router to make it appear you’re logging in from the United States. It does work. It’s worked for me. Though, it does help to have a good relationship with WF technology to offer solutions like this. Ask and you shall receive.

Travel the world? I smell B.S. You can't travel outside the US with your laptop any longer. I had a teammate (sorry, Employee) that did that and got busted.

Sounds nice. Unfortunately I need multiple monitors to complete my tasks, so traveling and working is out for me.
