Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

More leadership changes than ever

Does Wells have more and more frequent leadership changes or is it just me?

Charlie Company hiring - retreads from JPM and a few "specials" sent over by Jamie boy - has receded a bit as of late. But as the saying goes, stay tuned.

in the last 6 years, my immediate manager has not changed. My manager's manager changed once because the incumbent was promoted to the next level up. my manager's manager's manager has changed about 7 times, and they've also added at least 2 additional layers between that person & Charlie. Can you say bloated?

Yep, it's WF. It would be interesting if someone tracked these changes in mgmt. I bet it would be mind-blowing.

I have two highly experienced, yet ethical, friends at WFA who have been asked to apply for senior management roles. They have no interest in the higher paying positions because they are convinced (by what they see) they will not be supported by Senior Execs in their efforts to truly clean up the business and treat their proposed teams with respect and honesty. In other words, they are not willing to sacrifice their morals and character to climb this company’s questionable corporate ladder.

It all starts from the top down. We need a CEO and BOD who can look at the bank with fresh eyes, whom employees will be willing to work hard for and give their best to. Let’s strive to be the Apple of Banking, not the Sears of Banking.

More JPM C-suite is not the answer. They are not here for the right reasons.

If anything’s been done to curb the attrition, it’s not being communicated to some of the lowest on the totem pole. From everything I’ve read, the company just doesn’t seem to care. That’s coming from the top down. I have heard rumors of Bei Ling going to bat for us, but it remains to be seen.
IMO, Just keep coasting with the company And collect your biweekly paychecks. What have you got to lose? Your résumé has already been trashed if you keep your time at WF as a line item. Then again, your new employer might feel sorry for you and hire you.

Cannot keep up with the changes. I don’t even bother reading the announcements any more. Such a joke to see how many are „retiring“ or „leaving to pursue their own interests“. And what a drain on corporate resources all the stock options and golden parachutes have to be paid out. Sickening

What is being done to fix the revolving doors? Seems to only be getting worse

They are working to fix the revolving doors though so maybe we will see some changes. At least at my office location.

What leadership?

It’s not just the leaders, the workers are leaving too. My team has ongoing process failures due to attrition and failed “leadership” planning.

Nobody wants to be the leader of a very apparently sinking ship
