"Keep pushing it and you will lose your internal knowledge."….....they don't care about that!!! LOL! If they did then they wouldn't be letting people go and then rehiring overseas or fresh off the streets to fill those positions. Lots of very talented people have been let go but everyone is replaceable

Why take pto when you can spend the day collaborating with your coworkers?

Tech managers tell you it doesn’t and you have to come in extra to make up for it

Why is this being asked for the 500th time?

CIB Dir. here, it 100% counts (PTO days, holidays). As stated in other posts, the hammer is coming down on those not coming in 3 days a week. More focused on the no shows and one day a week people, but they are saying people need to get to the 3 days a week. Most CIB employees are coming in 5 days a week (traders, etc.), so we are emphasizing to our people that 3 days is good comparatively speaking.

Why does that need to be communicated?

Agree. I just take a long weekend to avoid 3x week. Sc--w this place. We have been getting threats of 5x week because the policy is not being followed. Well duh you took away WFH from people living outside of hubs who worked from home for years. You did not address our concerns and turned a blind eye. Keep pushing it and you will lose your internal knowledge.

Yes, Operation Make Them Waste PTO Days is in full effect. I used to take PTO to enjoy life and unwind. Now I use it to minimize the damage caused by the clowns in NYC.

I had to force the issue with my management, but it is indeed true. If you can’t come into an office because of a holiday or PTO, it’s not your fault as an employee. You’re utilizing a benifit.

I was told PTO and holidays count as in-office days by my manager. I don't recall any emails about it.
