The Bell System was ki---d in '83 by courts that sided with companies that did not have enough expertise or good enough products to compete.

Another case where the whiners and the non-talented were supported by the courts against the capable and experienced.

There is just no telling what wonderful products and services we would have today if not for the courts squashing what was probably the most inventive and successful technology in the world.

I remember those commercials well. Cliff Robertson really gave AT&T a positive image back then. Just look at how far we've advanced since 1984! Thanks Stephenson and Stankey, I see another bonus in your future!
