Only if international or Canadian where you can transfer your skills to any company you want. Become a global citizen and don't limit yourself to just the US.
My son is a recent college graduate with a finance degree - wasn’t sure exactly outside of analytics what industry he wanted to work in. Most of the offers he received were on the supply chain side. He applied to some banks - for internships and jobs but they were much slower to respond and contact him.
No
Absolutely no, unless you are of the pedigree (rich folk) you will work a dead end job, eventually be laid off and have an early life crisis.
Nope!
Yes, it is a well paying industry. Do your job, get along with others. Stay focused, play your cards right.
Run. Do not walk. Find another industry.

Whatever they say is hot soon gets flooded. If the job pays great the company soon undercuts you and floods the fields with offshore. Your always on the move.
So if you ask me never go into a "hot" field. Find something you're better at than others and it comes natural, then become exceptional in that area and exploit it for all its worth. Banking isn't a dream field but it pays the bills.
I was very happy my two chikdren chose other fields. I think it depends on the area, however so much is being replaced by offshoring and technology. Difficult to tell if a human on the other side of the computer or phone. Customer facing used to be safe, but no longer. Loads are heavy and upward mobility is limited. Reputation is concerning. Banking is a commodity and WF has not distinguished itself with customer service.
I agree with the previous three posts. Don’t do banking. It’s a revolving door. Once you bring clients to the bank, the clients belong to the bank. You are then expendable.
Besides, they are always bumping up the threshold In order to be considered as a top priority client. Any client which doesn’t meet the minimum threshold, will eventually be turned over to an AI type ATM machine in the near future.
As for suggestions, I just don’t know. I’m sure There are plenty of other ways of making good money.
I would not. I agree with the previous poster, and I'd toss in anything to do with supply chain management, as (possible) pandemics, climate change, and geopolitical upheaval will figure heavily in the coming decades.
Not a chance, it’s a callous industry worried only about cost cutting and making a dime off of people less fortunate
Software is eating banking, FinTech is commoditizing things. I'd say no, do not go into banking - pick something that will have momentum and growth, genetics, AI, machine learning, biotech, healthcare...
