Only around 250? That will have no impact at all on financial stability.
There were 250+ folks laid off. Global got hit hard. Most people over 50. Lots of knowledge walked out the door.

Global Business Sales teams had layoffs (at least Domestically). Today was the cutoff, and those who were let go, their last day was yesterday.

What a rudderless ship ! Every quarter the HR folks ask for a commitment from employees of Pacific Bell if they will Voluntarily retire. Every quarter more than 200 make an irrevocable promise to accept Voluntary Separation Benefit in lieu of surplus or layoff. There has been no action taken on the part of ATT to offer this benefit. Why go through this dance ?
