Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

No response after chatting with recruiter

Seriously are the managers just not interested or what’s going on? Have had this happen twice.

I was hired 5 years ago. Took the recruiter 7 months to contact anyone for interviews. I was hired, but my manager said it was all the recruiter causing the delay.

I had a final interview A MONTH AGO. I was told that an offer was coming but that the recruiter was behind. It was a great job but I sent an email 10 days ago to the recruiter to get an update and no response. I applied for a position outside of WF last week and already had the interview and they literally just reached out with a verbal offer.

Bye Wells Fargo. They are giving me a sign on bonus that will take care of whatever pittance I would have gotten here. Kind of disappointing as I really liked the manager but HR is a mess.

It's not really the managers, but the HR recruiter. HR is a mess right now

Hiring managers have no idea what they're doing when it comes to the hiring process.

Most managers can't really speak to the role that they're trying to fill. Once they select whoever happens to be leftover when they finally make their decision, that person gets trained by someone else.

Managers at Wells are mostly glorified admins. They have zero autonomy. None. Their job is to be their manager's mouthpiece, while (unsuccessfully) trying to convince their directs that they're in charge.

All you can do is keep trying, but also strongly consider external opportunities. If you read this board, no one ever posts how they left Wells and regretted it. It's always the opposite.

Wells Fargo is a dumpster fire. HR is busy getting rid of people while tech budgets are being cut. 2023 budgets are a mystery all while a new capacity model no ne understands is being put in place. Seriously, you want to work here in the shitshow?
