This is total bullsh-t waiting around for a layoff notice . Who will get canned who will stay ? If my manager has anything to do with the worst nurse on the team will stay . Birds of a feather flock together..

They are actually interviewing right now for multiple telephonic nurse care manager positions. They are hiring a lot of SNP nurses and about half as many for triage and support. Coaches are saying no RIF for nurses. But, you know, it’s Humana, so they could change their mind. They also sent letters to the nurses they RIF’d last year asking if they will come back.

It's not an algorithm... It's a score sheet which is easily manipulated by the manager. Scores for attitude and performance and collaboration are all included. That Score sheet, the PITA, is so easily skewed that the manager can manipulate the score, a point here or there, to ensure the outcome they want. Listen. I don't have any issue with Humana or any other company laying people off when they need to cut costs, my annoyance is the BS we are fed daily reminding us how engaged the associates are. It's FEAR not engagement.

Think it all depends your department, role, age and gender. Humana is known for its ageism, so if you’re older you might be asked to “early retire”. Markets have been asked to rate all of their employees from directors down. An algorithm will decide how many front line employees in each role and leaders needed in each layer of management. Based on your rating you may be staying or may be going.

Didn't you know Humana is a very engaged company. All of the surveys tell us that associates just love the warm and fuzzies the company provides. You can have all of the hot button labels and your latest pronoun. You can be involved in an NRG which relates to your particular identity and if you survive the company long enough they will pay for your school. Of course you can't expect security or fair and proper management, you should expect to be managed by algorithm and of course HR4U really means HR for US, the company.
