I'm an IC3 at OCI and I think I've been lowballed like *hit!!
Been with OCI since 18 months. Was rated a 4 (Exceeds expectations)
Got a hike (~6.5%) in base pay, but a mere stocks worth $11000 (to be vested over 4 years). I was stunned and didn't even wanted to argue at the time.
Total BS, Oracle never ever provides existing employees >5% raise
So sure of this, you are? Maybe what you meant to say is that you never got more than 5%
Total BS, Oracle never ever provides existing employees >5% raise, you might get a bonus, if you were tied to a specific account sale. RSU sure....but you have to be granted those by the powers that be.
5% raise, $80k in rsu's, 4k bonus
Those are descent gains for shareholders, and they don't give a flying fu*k that it took some "churn" in the rank-and-file in order to get there. From a pure investment perspective, ORCL has done pretty well.
It’s deeper than that. Recent CA case.
Shareholders need to sue Oracle for mismanagement and have VP's fired for taking raises and employees getting nothing.
Why on earth would the shareholders do that? ORCL is at about the same price that it was a year ago when the big federally funded buybacks were going on. It's WAY up, something like 50% in the last 5 years. Those are descent gains for shareholders, and they don't give a flying fu*k that it took some "churn" in the rank-and-file in order to get there. From a pure investment perspective, ORCL has done pretty well.
Pathetic management. Shareholders need to sue Oracle for mismanagement and have VP's fired for taking raises and employees getting nothing. Good managers are always the last to get paid. Oracle deserves to fail - worst VP middle management.
Seems like everytime there is a layoff -- There is PR re: LE. The last one I saw was large tract of land on the river in Nashville. Often, wonder if it's him or competitors that are doing this - because it makes him look bad.
Just VP's look bad for how and what they do -- allocating raises and bonuses mostly to themselves and a few managers.
This is not certainly the opposite of the SEC Code of Ethic on Oracle's website.
I am new to oci. Took the offer which was pretty good salary+rsu and expect no raise or bonus the next 4 years, at least wait until all rsu vested then move on. historically known they do not give you yearly raise or bonus unless they have changed recently?
“ they can't take away the high job satisfaction you get working at Oracle “
They can’t take it away because it doesn’t exist!
Fortunately they can't take away the high job satisfaction you get working at Oracle, the world's leading technology provider!
How long do you need to be here before you can qualify for this? bs they don’t give us any type of inflation raise
Are those rsu shares unit or monetary value ?
