Just wait for the CRE crash. It's coming. Peak around Feb/March, but will start as early as Sept.
Same situation here in bay area, California. No new buyers, slow market, lease breaks and construction projects stopped/or delayed for now.
Ditto, sales have slowed waaaay down. In my area most new houses sold before construction was even completed. Now they finish them and they are sitting, unsold. I'm very glad that I won't be looking to sell for 4-5 more years...
Seeing similar here. Houses in my neighborhood were selling at insane prices a year ago, but in the last 4 or 5 months not a single one has sold. The market has already crashed, but it's not being reported. I wonder why?
Rent is moving up. If you can’t sell it, rent it.
Since the rate hikes, houses that had been selling in a day in my neighborhood are still on the market. Nobody is dropping prices if they can help it.
It also doesn't help that people are realizing stuff isn't moving and think they can get out before it crashes. They're all too late.
I heard tech was effected.
