So all managers just got a new training on promoting a diverse pool of candidates but making sure you “pick the right candidate”. Diversity is such a smoke and mirrors operation here for good PR.

I do not believe any entity should place one race or s-x before another, period! You don't end discrimination, if it even exists to any seriously measurable point today at all, with more discrimination.
Why are my fellow honkies so afraid of having to compete fairly?
Skin color and s-xuality have nothing to do with your ability to do the job.
Chuckles did say in a TH that there are not a lot of qualified minority talent to choose from. Check his Wiki.
"I was looking at justification for the DEI BS… are Qualified Minorities/Protected Classes really unrepresentative in WF or in the business world that the Woke race baiters claim?"
This is a joke right? Check your management chain up to Charlie. In fact go 2 up and check all of their direct reports and let me know the percentage that aren't white. I looked up my management chain up to the head of my business group (this includes the full management line of 2 up and 3 up) and there was one non white person.
I don't advocate for hiring someone who isn't the best candidate, but anyone can see Wells is not a diverse organization in the least.
That said the C Suite doesn't actually care about this, they just pretend to for PR.
Hire the most qualified person for the job that does the best in the interview. It's really pretty simple. Anyone that believes that doing so won't result in diverse teams, is themselves racist via the bigotry of low expectations. My team is 2x as "diverse" as the CEOs, so I don't need to hear it from him on how this should be done.
Don't be obtuse. Diversity in this context has always meant non-White and non-male. The fact that WF keeps track of White employees vs. Diverse employmees is further proof of this. It's a company's way of hiring based on race without saying so and getting sued.
I'd like to see the worldwide numbers. Who truly is a majority worldwide? And who is truly a minority worldwide. A lot of this stuff is just political BS that's only in the USA, and wouldn't make any sense anywhere else.
Pretty soon it will be necessary to hire who you are told to hire, managers won't have a say. Process has been made more difficult than it should be. Why even have a manager involved? HR can decide and just introduce the picked person to the manager.
Diversity should include people of different ages, regions, physical abilities, etc. It's not only race or gender.
only mid-sr level managers hiring at certain levels.
Question, when reviewing resumes, how are you supposed to determine who is diverse? That being said, diversity is defined by including ALL races
