@7ryh+1ibslT7h , quality check; role, not roll. You need to be monitored.
They do that where I work. We get an email every morning showing all of our emails, work orders, meetings, etc.. from the day before. They even point out if you only worked your 40 hours. We're way behind WF in technology (I know it's unbelievable) so I have to think WF has this capability whether they've been using it or not.
I think instead of this company’s should just focus on grading salaried employees based on quantity/quality of work output. Give me an amount of work that it would take an average person in my roll 35-45 hours per week to get done if they were working at pretty decent (but reasonable) efficiency. If I want to take 45-55 hours per week to do that instead, while working at a leisurely pace, that should be my prerogative. As long as I’m getting it all done to quality standards and in time to meet deadlines, what does it matter how efficient from a time perspective I am in going about it? As a salaried employee that’s just some of my personal time I’m choosing to tap into to peak at my phone or take mental breaks while on the clock, it’s not like an hourly wage worker stealing time.
I can see it now! Some sh-----d installs trackers and loggers, network bandwidth drops and then BAM, a datacenter goes out. I will just be smiling. Hope they have change requests for the work.
It’s rolling out here too
If they can’t even figure out a way to enforce a relatively straightforward 3 days in office policy which is relatively simple to track across the enterprise, I’m not too worried about the implications of enterprise wide activity monitoring
Rather than trying to motivate us, they're going the beating will continue until morale improves route. Good Luck WF.
Trust me if Jamie Dimon is doing it, then you can bet your a-s that ShartHead will be doing it too.
This has been done here for years at least in brokerage. My last dept tracked # of calls per day, length of call, time away from desk, log in/out times, etc and it was not a call center. It really just depends if it’s pushed by your management.
When you move from people are a competitive advantage to a person in a seat, you spend money to monitor instead of investing in talent. There's no money to upgrade our aging technology and manual processes, but there's money for monitoring. Still missing dollara while chasing pennies.
It's being done here, I will bet. Also, it's you're, and not your.
You don't think that's not being done here already? All of the same metrics are collected and have been for a couple of years now. It may exist in un-centralized repositories, but it's definitely being collected. It is only a matter of time before it is centralized and used in your performance reviews. The move to cloud virtual machines will speed this up considerably.
They are what WF is driving toward because we have their failed management.
