Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Assume layoffs are coming

Don't ask if there will be layoffs or which groups or teams are going to be hit. Just assume it's coming and that nothing and nobody is safe. Then act as if you know you're going to be laid off in the next few months. Prepare for it the way you would if you knew 100% that it was coming. Once you are prepared to the best of your ability, you'll stop caring about whether layoffs are coming or not. If it happens, you'll know it's not going to be the end of the world for you. This will make your life much easier.

@qyy+1iZgfQ1s, don't be an a-s.
I agree with the op. I don't leave shoes or any personal items or pictures at my desk that I would worry about getting back. I have learned that everything is temporary, and you never know when your number is up. Even after I start a new job, I update my resume. I never think I am going to retire some place, because those days are gone.

I am always prepared to put on my coat, pick up my bag, leave and never come back. Always have been. I will never, ever be seen riding the elevator down with a cardboard box. Not happening.

Sometimes I would put things up on my cubicle walls, when we had cubicles, but it was never anything personal. Just junk to make it look like somebody lived there. Of course now I don’t have to bother with that.

Resume is up to date. Savings bump up every pay period. They could can me tomorrow and I would skip away laughing. I’m a firm believer in never letting them see you sweat.

If CS is coming to my office, Then he’ll meet the family dog, first. I’m WFH. Like the previous post, be prepared to bail at a moments notice. Whatever you Pics you hang in your cube can and will be used against you in the court of WF. In other words, keep your workplace generic. If you want to have some real fun, and you know you’re going to be shown the door soon, switch your cube nameplate with your neighbor’s. Just make sure a the cube farm neighbor you don’t like. Lol.

Thanks for the reminder. in the military, your bags are already packed to go at a moments notice. So take down those photos in your office or cubicle and have a box ready underneath your desk. Charlie is coming to your office soon...

It’s hereditary. I was born lazy and I don’t care. I guess I suffer from apathy, too. Lol. A big high five for the layoffs.

Ignorance is assuming you will never be laid off from your employment. When I first joined, WF, always planned on getting laid off. Decades later, I’m still here for some reason. Yesterday, was another nice juicy payday.

In American business you are just a number. What you did for them the last year or the last 20 or 30 years means nothing to them.

Nice sermon. I couldn’t have said it better myself. Then again, let’s have some fun. Let’s talk about future layoffs. Some people are addicted to drama. I emotionally feel better every time I vent on the site. Let’s really push the envelope. Let’s really stir things up. Just for the fun of it.
