Im assuming it’s a percentage of your salary and I can’t seem to get a straight answer from my boss, all I’m told is it’s very generous. But can’t get a figure or percentage and feel awkward asking again. On average with wells (7 mths with the company now) what can one expect their bonus to be? Tia

When we had targets mine was 30%. Last year I was on a team that closed a group of major issues and got just under 52%. Sr Lead job title. Excess of $50k was stock options that vest over 4 years so that wasn’t great.
My bonus last year, $16k, was the biggest one that I've had during my six years here.
ICS... we get dog sh-t.
For the majority the general rule of thumb is whatever your target is/was minus 5-10%. Very few outliers.
I am not going to share my bonus. I always thought, and still do, that bonuses are BS. Just increase the salary.
Your question will be answered in the next couple of weeks. Big changes coming.
Bonus depends on the role. Mine is 15% or 17% target.
Our role was 30%. Through title changes, it has been reduced to 20% while increasing base. They tell us it's the same. It is not. Even if you are the top pwrformer and recieve the max 20%, it was about $5k less. And we know with re-calibration and being judged based on every position with same title, you will be cut about 5% from max.
If boss likes you, 20%
Premier banker - will be about 25-30% typically I would say
Did 21% as back office employee. Also, I’ve been here for multiple decades. I’m not an HR, so I really don’t know the rhyme or reason.
Depends on the level of the position. Typically the higher up your job rank the higher the percentage is. Unless you're in a low-level position and get the enterprise bonus, which is pathetic.
There is no average across the bank. It’s role by role.
In back office, maybe 5%, even if you have been with the company 20 years.
In CIB, the investment banking analysts one year out of college can get 50-100%, possibly more.
