Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

HELP WANTED: Competent CEO in the Telecom industry to right a ship that's off course!

AT&T needs to bring in a competent leader from one of the competitors to turn this ship around! Stankey DEFINITELY needs to go! He has completely decimated this company along with Randall and it's time for the BOD to step up and take charge of this company before it's too late! The way this company is mismanaged is a total disgrace to the stock holders as well as its employees!

stock split was in March 98. In November 2000, the price was $42.50. A 2 for 1 split; so $85 if no split. My retirement 401k loses value every day. I should have sold short.

ATT has sold all its family jewels and it has no more to artificially inflate the balance sheet.

Big woke stockholders using other peoples money have there own agenda.

for a few more dollars than the cost of copper uverse one can get the competitors fiber. That says it all.
Don't count on the cash flow anymore. Buying att stock is like buying a junk bond only worse.

Bunch of haters and bullies. Leave this guy alone. Anyway you can’t change it. He was chosen to be the CEO by one of the worst corporate leaders ever. What do you expect? His successor will most likely continue the trend. And saga will continue.

There he goes again! Trying to re-write history. Yes T shares have been in the $50 range. But what does it matter? We will never see that price again.

Stop making things up. AT&T stock was never in the fifties.

Whitacre paid way too much for legacy T. I believe he paid 18B plus debt. If he had waited for legacy T to declare bankruptcy, he could have bought it for pennies on the dollar. Another stupid waste of cash, again he was gambling with SBC money, not his own.

What will be the final straw that broke the camel's back?
Will the share price going below $8 do it? Will some type of illegal activity surface that will cause his downfall?
Will Stankey finally realize he is a loser and take his money and run?
Will the BOD finally realize they've been bamboozled and force him out?
I'm not sure how it will end for Stankey, but it can't come soon enough. I don't think it's possible to ever restore at&t to its former glory.

SBC who bought t at a fire sale and changed the name. But under Big Ed Head - the stock was $59.00
Wanna buy some options at $42, $48, $54 how about $58? Underwater & worthless but should go well framed for historical content.
And after November will have lots of Democrat talent then Joe Biden will be looking for a job in 2024. Dementia Joe, Pelosi, Swallwell, AOC, Stacy Abrams, Beto (this list is too long to list) are great candidates to lead at&t. I mean, just look at how well they've done for the U.S.

Stock was at $50? Was this pre-split price?

It's easy to gamble and lose with other people's money! Stankey and Stephenson are the laughing stock in all of telecom. They wiil go down in history as the worst corporate leadership ever. You can bet they will try to re-write history, they will claim to be the best.

Um, yes, at&t would benefit by having a competent CEO. Stankey is a ringer! It's hard to believe the BOD let this imbecile continue as CEO with the track record he has created. Talk about a real loser.

Good point on excellence. Maybe the board sold short when the stock was over $50/share. Why else with the performance would Randy be hired as a consultant.

So many here are quick to label Stankey as an id--t, a mo--n, a half wit, a dummy, even a no talent as-----n. But you have to admire him. It takes incredible perseverance, so much hard work and long hours for someone with so many learning challenges to reach the top. It inspires me picturing Stanky looking into a mirror quoting Sgt. Lincoln Osiris “ I know who I am, I’m a dude, playing a dude, disguised as another dude”. Sure it looks easy, to take a lot of money, lose most of it like a drunken sailor on leave at a br----l in Thailand. But for some one with so so many cognitive challenges, it’s inspirational. It shows that everyone no matter how d-mb, how aloof, or even how impaired a person is. They can become an AT&T CEO.

Bod would have been the ones to put stankey in charge. It could be they are making the decisions he promotes. Stankey is a handy target to hate on for employee grievances but do you really think things would change for employees that much if he is replaced? Were things much different before he was ceo?

Just reverse Randall Stephenson’s retirement pay. That will save us millions and use that money to buy spectrum, you know, our core competencies. Let Randall get a lawyer and try to sue us for a decade or more and never collect a cent. Like how we treat the front line employees that help customers that sc--w up.
