Ah this must be the obligatory post from HR and or Charlie. They need to bump these reminders along and keep up with the pace on this site. Hey HR why even bother with employee satisfaction surveys anymore? Just refer to this site for your feedback, not that you need to know anything else....

OP must be one of those Sr Manager level external hires that doesn't know jack sh*t about the company. We supposedly have a hiring freeze now and other companies are not going to be hiring as much given several factors.

And keep in mind -- it's been a worker market. The companies want to turn that back around.

Welcome to forced rankings. Some are not getting meets because the direct reporting manager is forced to put some below it.

exactly what my manger told me after he told me I am not getting a "meets". I thought I was doing a good job, in the office, cloud certified, doing my assignments on time, volunteering for more, helping the juniors. Turns out I su*k . This is a big shift in his attitude.
The only thing I can think of is I was very critical in the survey sent to all of us.

After 30+ years I am 63 a cr---y stock market is ki----g my 401k and I have no idea how to be recognized as a valuable team member Just a "why don't you leave?" Depressing to be me. Not looking for sympathy, just tossing this on the pile of po-p that this thread is.

Unpopular opinion but you are correct. Don’t stay in any environment that makes you unhappy.
For me it’s different, my goal is to milk this company for all I can. I’ll be one of those lifers.
I still outperform 75% of my team so am sitting pretty.

Even w/o the macro-economic problems like a stock market bleeding out, there's a timing to finding a new job, and Q4 is not it. Let's talk again on 16 Feb.

I like getting paid lots to do little. Why would I want to leave?

Having an opinion critiqued for its stupidity doesn’t constitute having one’s “feathers ruffled”. Clearly outed as a WF leader, isn’t used to constructive feedback.

Wow this thread really ruffled some feathers

Does not make it any less true though

Agreed. I’d like a WF before the Wachovia merger. Not perfect, but higher morale, IMO.
Since the Wachovia merger, I felt like everything went downhill. In my opinion, it’s still going downhill. Too many changes, too fast. I’m sticking around, hoping I can get my nice golden severance severance

OP, everyone understands this, but when you’ve worked at a place for a long time with pride to build something great, and massive losers come in and destroy it rapidly, it kind of frustrates you and one fells betrayed, so F off.

This is the most tone dead statement I’ve seen, Q4 while the markets are wrecked - jUsT fInD a nEw jOB. Clueless, clearly you must be in WF leadership.
