I agree with OP’s sentiment. RCSA is an incredible strain on resources. People taken out of their day jobs for weeks at a time. It’s especially taxing on teams responsible for managing risk (front line risk teams, Controls, and Independent Risk Management). They can’t be in two places at once. Mandatory RCSA workshops means no time spent on actually managing the day-to-day risk.

There is like one employee who keeps going on and on about RCSA and acting like it’s this boogie man that will take down the bank. Calm down already OP. First, even the nerds that “don’t know” what it is, actually do know and are trained on it. Second, just because there are a bunch of clueless ppl in the project world doesn’t mean we are doomed. This happens when there is a huge project that is basically enterprise wide just due to the size of the company. It’s a difficult task knowing all stakeholders. Lastly, if acct scandal after class actions and other scandals haven’t ki---d us-nothing will short of an economic collapse or E Warren becoming president. Eww I just shuddered at the thought like the hyena in the lion king after they say, “Mufasa!” lol

Why would these characters bring down a monstrously large thing like Wells?
Yes… it proves most “SME” can’t answer a simple question without calling someone in (who most likely has to call someone else in)… the people who are making decisions have no idea.
