AT&T is a follower. All the tech giants lay off employees, guess who follows in their footsteps? All this gloom and doom, yeah, you all know what's in the pipeline. Unfortunately if you're not actively looking, then just pray you survive another round.
I've been through so many rounds of layoffs, being at the receiving end very early on in my career. All I can advise (and I wish I took the same advice myself) is prepare yourself. Continue to educate yourself and pursue those interests outside of T. Stay current, and network and maintain those relationships. You never know who might be able to help you.
