It’s been a lovely day on campus. My workstation is clean and bug-free, the casheir at lunch had perfect manners, and I’m enjoying a crisp salad and herbal tea while listening to Enya.

RTO is stupid and d-mb, and it needs to go away. Just stop monitoring it and let management manage.

This screams exactly what everyone here complains about, a management team that loves to dazzle and amaze with show, but fails to address the important stuff that really matters.
They didn't clean the bathroom and here you are complaining about it. You're telling everyone how nice everything else is, yet they ignored addressing an essential function of any operation with employees on site.
Customers matter, you don't.
If you’re in an office that is a dump consider it on the cut list. I work in a small office in a large hub city and I could not believe the remodel they did over Covid. Previously the place was dingy and out of date. I come back and the whole thing has been redone and looks beautiful.
The only thing they skipped, which was surprising, was steam cleaning a pretty dirty tile floor. The rest of the place is so refreshed the floor looks extra awful.
They painted the rest rooms, replaced and upgraded the break rooms and their amenities, brought in all new cube furniture - office furniture is the same but not in bad shape, new carpet, new soft seating areas, video games in large break room, tv’s in all break rooms with seating, and even the Tech Connection area got it’s own place instead of a few guys jammed in a closet.
The best part is hardly anyone is ever in so it’s staying nice.
