Can we lay off the DEI talk, please. Everyone knows it is a dumping ground for low talent people, is costly and ineffective, but exists to fend off the regulators. Enough already!

Yes it must have been the lame training about how to not drop N bo--s that made you paranoid.

I’ve been with the company for multiple decades. I’m just astonished that almost every year the compensation package changes. The company either gives me a nice financial perk one year and the next year they end up taking it away. This big DEI push makes me want to scream. What it’s actually done is to make me see my colleagues in a different way, now. To be blunt, I’m now more comfortable around my colleagues than ever. RTO will be a disaster. Everybody’s gonna be walking around on eggshells. I’m sure it’ll feel real strange when your colleagues start treating you Differently than they have in the past just because of this big DEI push. So, I’m less focused on work and more focused on if I’m going to unintentionally hurt someone’s feelings.

I think the CEO knows exactly what he’s doing. Nobody wanted to be CEO until he came along. I’m sure he negotiated a nice financial package. He has an ineffective cheerleading squad, IMO. When they finally realize that shaking their p o m-p o m s are in effective, maybe they’ll find something of intrinsic value that will boost our morale. Also, When the big wig satisfies his negotiated requirements, he’ll split. Yes. 100% of the problem is an NYC. At the very least, Sloan gave us two additional PTO days to try and boost morale After the fake account scandal broke.

My team and manager are awesome and I surely feel "connected" with them. 100% of the problem with this company is in NYC.

High five for having a manager who has your back. Didn’t know those existed anymore. I thought they all got managed out and replaced with DEI recruits.

I voted up arrow. My manager has my back. Don't plan to leave anytime soon. I'd be crazy to do that.

Maybe we should reach out to roaring kitty and see about shorting WF.

I don’t feel a connection at all. I did years ago when we were Norwest Mortgage. After we merged and became Wells Fargo, all the fun and personal things we did to stay connected were taken away. The extra ways we were celebrated and compensated for our achievements ceased. And now we’ve turned into a company who can’t run their business ethically or legally. A company I have become more and more embarrassed to say I work for with every additional news article that is released. After 20 years of service, it’s more clear now than ever before that I’m truly just a number. This company doesn’t care about their team members or customers. They care about appeasing to the stockholders and finding ways to make sure those at the top get a 20% raise while many of us have had our compensation reduced. It’s rather disgusting.

WF turned into a bank where you go just to make a buck, not a difference.
The bank reminds me of a novel. The bank is a great dark tower and the stage coach is named Blaine. Sound familiar?

Pay is below par, unless new with co. Each year is a takeaway. Annual 401k match is terrible financial disadvantage. Mgmt really don't know what they are doing. MMB has initiated changes, then reversed the following year. BBG was totally blown up with efforts now underway to gain back lost business. Some say the bank is evolving...I think not. Implemented changes are reversed a year later. Departments are offloading part of their functions to other departments without appropriate staffing or training (real estate title work, flood zone processing), supposedly for efficiencies, but at great risk operationally. Senior management is taking far too much compensation. And so on...

I can see that most people don’t feel connected with the company. Those that do feel connected, I’m curious why?

You get settled in with this company. You learn to do your job and you do it well. Then just like the other post, managers several levels above you change your compensation on you. Now what? Do you suck it up? No. You discovered the great WF trap. Forget the thinking that you are all singing Kumbaya. For example, you might think you’re the Lamborghini and WF is the road. Too bad the road is just a wagon trail with potholes.
You’re also their pawn on the great WF chessboard.

How can you feel connected when someone 2 levels above your manager, who doesn't even know you, re-calibrates your financial incentives?
